霧降宮細野諏訪神社

この地域の産土神として祀られている諏訪神社。

村の指定文化財に登録されています。

境内は木陰が涼やかですが、荘厳な雰囲気を空気がまとっています。

目を引くのは杉の大木。とても立派です。

　この大杉は、永承元年（1177年）にこの地の住人である八田弥五兵衛が献木したとも、

または天然樹とも伝えられており、現在は細野諏訪社の御神木とされています。

樹囲10.8m、高さ41m、樹齢推定1000年余り、

木肌が美しく幹の上部からは数本の緑濃い枝が天空に向かって伸びている、

県下有数の巨木です。

また、境内には杉の大木が30本余り林立し、

うっそうたる杉林の景観は神々の地にふさわしいものがあり、

風土の森として親しまれています。

凛とした門構えの2つの鳥居の間には天然の樹木の鳥居がお出迎えしてくれます。

八方スキー場の入り口にありますので是非おたちよりくださいませ。

Shimofuri Hosono Suwa Shrine

Suwa Shrine is enshrined as the local deity of production in this area. It is registered as a designated cultural asset of the village. The precincts of the shrine are coolly shaded by trees, but the air is cloaked with a solemn atmosphere. What catches the eye is a large cedar tree. It is very magnificent.

　This large cedar is said to have been donated by Hatta Yagobei, a resident of the area, in 1177, or it is said to be a natural tree, and is now regarded as the sacred tree of Hosono Suwa Shrine.

It is one of the largest trees in the prefecture, with a circumference of 10.8 m, a height of 41 m, and an estimated age of over 1,000 years. The tree has a beautiful bark, and several dark green branches extend skyward from the top of the trunk.

The shrine grounds are also home to a forest of more than 30 large cedar trees, and the view of the dense cedar forest is befitting of a place of the gods, and is well known as a forest of the local climate.

Between the two dignified torii gates, a natural tree gate welcomes visitors.
